Founder story

Why SCC exists

Richard created Senior Connections Canada to make everyday support easier to find for seniors, families and caregivers in Lanark County and Smiths Falls.

The idea is deliberately practical: trusted information, a clear next action and a real person when a website is not enough. Seniors should be able to use public information without creating an account or surrendering control to a caregiver.

Richard lives in the Smiths Falls / Montague Township area and brings more than two decades of public-service leadership, communication, organization and technology experience, including work as an Information Technology Team Lead and Project Manager with Transport Canada and the Canadian Coast Guard.

Professional boundary: Richard is not presenting himself as a healthcare professional. SCC's hands-on launch services are non-medical, and professional medical, legal or financial questions are directed to appropriately qualified sources.

Service before sales

A suitable verified free, subsidized or community option is not hidden just because SCC may also offer a paid service.

Choice before convenience

Family and caregiver tools support the senior's choices and recorded authority rather than assuming access.

Human help stays available

People can ask a question or request a phone conversation without first mastering the site.
